I had a bad hair braiding experience and decided that I don't want to relax my hair anymore after I took the braids out. I know nothing about making the transition. Ultimately I hope to have loose curls (similar to what I had when I was younger). But, I know what my current new growth looks like so are looser curls acheiveable? Also, what the heck is a texturizer and at what point would you use one (if you made the decision to get it)?

I got a tattoo last night between my shoulder blades and my shoulders feel tight when I move around. I feel like a lot of the color is coming off when I have A&D ointment on it. I don't really know whats going on.

im part african american, so i have very very curly hair. its a little between kinky, and curly. However, even though it can be tough to handle sometimes, i really love my curly hair. My problem is that im going to be celebrating my 15th b day party, and i had planned for the up do.....my mom schedualed to get my hair pressed to make it easier to work with. Can getting my hair pressed permanently damage my hair? and will my curls come back the same after i wash? Help!! im a lil worried....thanx

I got a tattoo over a month ago.....it still isn't healed. It's tender, and looks like it's going to peal but doesn't, I've taken care of it exactly as they told me. It's just small lettering (4-1inch letters)but since it's small the guy did the whole thing with the outline needle so it's deeper. What should I do to get it healed so that it doesn't mess up the way it looks? I've used Aquaphor, Neosporin, and other skin healing ointments and nothing is helping.

I am in mid 20s and am growing a beard. waxing grows back darker and more hairs and plucking is a full time job, i really need help. is it my hormones or am i turning into a man?? it started with 1 or 2 hairs now is like 20 or 25 black hairs, yuck.

For example...I'm at a place and it's only in the like mid to low 70s...it doesn't feel hot at all which is what I'm use to when I try to get some sun...if I lay out will I still get tan?

Is that natural? My gosh, I'm naturally blonde and it's nowhere near THAT blonde. Do they dye it (I dont think so since they are both natural blondes why would they dye it blonde? Seems kinda redundant). If they do though, what color is that? It's much whiter than Britney or Lindsays dye.

How do you guys feel about "exposed" tan lines? Basically my swimsuits have all been "halter" type tops(tie around the neck) and I have a dress that is "tank" type sleeves so you see about 3 inches of tan line. let me know, I have a wedding to go to and I don't want to look silly and would hate to have to go to a tanning salon.......

Why do so people tan? I go to high school and it like an epidemic..every girl wants to be tan and they all "lay out" and go to tanning salons and some use spray-on tan. I go to the beach since I live in Florida and instead of laying out like me by the pool where it's in the shade where the sun is blocked by the building, the girls PURPOSELY lay on the sunny and much hotter side where the harmful UV rays are! Can someone please explain to me WHY so many people want to be tan and expose themselves for long periods of time (And max. the area exposed!) purposely harming themselves with full knowledge of it! most ppl will tell u smoking is bad, especially kids..its even taught in most American schools and theres commercials (Truth)..y is tanning left out of that? Why dnt most ppl say tanning is bad since its also cancerous? is it intentional and voluntary neglect b/c they dnt want 2 think it's true? for the ppl about 2 answer that it looks healthy/vibrant, r u aware its not? (address that)
