I guess it depends on the shoe you buy. I bought some skate shoes from Vans and within a month, the leather was turning blue and wearing out. I wore them like only 3 times a week. Etnies is pretty good on their skate shoes. They hold up. Vans might be cheaper than Etnies, but both brands are ok.

well, vans are way cheaper, but etnies hold up longer. both have great styles and are realllyyyy comfy (my faves!)
