Beauty & Style - 10 February 2007

I got mine when I was a grown man still trying to figure out why. Now they are there everyday to remind me of how much Ive changed since then. My precious daughter will see them and ask why did I get them, when I am old and gray, I will see them and they will make me remember how stupid I was. Isnt it stupid to say " I got them to remind me of something or someone?" I cant being only a few years after getting them figure out why. If you say that you gave it some serious thought before you got yours, you are exempt from this question.

I am a 21 year old male. I have relatively long black hair. Lately I have noticed more hair coming out during the day. My hair does not seem to be thinning in any specific spots and the hair seems to be coming out from all over (side, top, etc). It always just one or two strands at a time. It is possible I just did not notice the shedding before because I just bought a white pillow case and sheets for my bed for the first time. Any possible explanations? The weather has been particularly cold here for the last month or so.

I have really really curly hair, that continues to get curlier every year. I want to get my hair permed, to help loosen up the curls. I used to be able to wear my hair down (i did every day), but now i have these little tiny curls that shrink up when i leave my hair down. When my hair is straightened it comes down about 3 in below my shoulders, but when its curly my hair comes about an inch below my chin.


I am just wondering what getting a perm will do to my hair. People have told me that it will lighten my hair, and i want to know if there are any other effects that i should know about. thanks!!
