My first advice to people regarding tattoos is not to get religious symbols or the names of boy/girl friends or spouses.
The reason for this is pretty simple. You would like to think that these sorts of things will stay the same forever, but they don't.
Today you get a tattoo of a cross on your hip. In 10 years you might be Moslem or Jewish or something in which case you might not like having a cross on your hip.
Other then that, you could go with an animal you closesly identify with or a non religious symbol of peace or prosperity or somehing along those lines.

tattoos aren't the best idea. Before you do this make sure to remember that it will stay with you until u die, like a scar would. Also (not to rain on your parade) when u get old and wrinkly--it happens to all of us--it will look terrible. I recommend getting one on your arm because your hips change immensely from now to when ur much older.

well, make sure this is what you want to do. are you sure you want a tattoo? if you have children now or in the future they are going to ask you why you got it. it will never come off. but if you want one a cross is good. don't make it too big Cuz people will be staring at it. thanks for listening

Just a cross might be boring...add a little something else with it and you'll be sure to like it more.

Ask the tattoo artist to make a stencil so you can see how big you want it.

Normally I'd say tatoos are stupid, but if it's of a cross I guess it's ok. Better make it small though.
