Beauty & Style - 8 February 2007

I've always been kind to my skin ( wearing sun block everyday, not tanning,etc.) but I feel like at 24 I need to do more to prevent signs of aging and to get a more youthful glow.

Does anyone have any routines that they follow or know of any good products for a 20-something year old?

My hair has a natural wave that is impossible to control. I straighten my hair in the morning and use hairspray but it never seems to have that "I just finished getting ready" look by the end of the day like so many women in my office still have at 5! Any suggestions!?

Can I re dye my hair right now? I am going from a blonde to darker so can I go even darker if I go get more dye or will that ruin it? I don't know if that 5-6 week rule only applys to lightening your hair...

I just bought a tank from hollister ( clearance if u noe wat im saying :P) and well its one thats orange and has like lace on the top and on the bottotm. pretty much a plain orange tank with lace on the bottom. I want to buy something ( from hollister preferably) thats a reasonable price and that will totally match. Plz help!!!

Ok I'm not 30 until this summer, but I had to think that maybe it's time for an analysis of my personal style. I haven't had one in about ten years.

I am a single white male. 6'3" 180 pounds. I have dark hair and wear glasses(will not do contacts). My eyes are somewhat sunk into my head and can shift in color from slate grey to green to brown. I am a CPA, mountainer, fairly culturered and had a mother that beat a degree of etiquete into me. Facial shape is square to rectangular. I have the squared jaw and unfortunately the lanky body. My hair style is typically short, with mid ear sideburns.

I have not owned a pair of tennies in years, nor do I wear items with ads on them or sport teams.

So what style should a man in my position look at? Links would be helpful. I peruse GQ, Details, and Esquire. I am however not that colorful and a little too much of that looks metrosexual or gay. Wont go that route.

Any suggestions?

So usually I buy size small shirts, some of them are big enough that I can keep them, but usually after a wash or two they shrink to too small. Usually they're on the smaller side to begin with. And then medium shirts are always way too wide for me, so if I buy those and wash them, they look really dorky (short and wide) on me. What can I do?

I went to the salon the other day and I told them I wanted red hair, which I love to have. I have natural dark brown hair, and any shade of red normally looks great on me. The only thing is they made me so intensely bright red, but the intensity is only at the top of my head. The rest of my hair is a "blah" brownish-red color. Also, they somehow talked me into blonde highlights at the top of my head, which I hate but decided to keep.. They'll grow out fast enough.
Today I went back to the salon and they tried to even it all out for me, but it all still kinda looks the same.
I'm figuring that the best thing I can do is to make the red not so intense. I know red fades quickly on its own, but is there anything I can do to make it fade even more quickly?! Help.. please.. :(
I feel like I'm going to cry.. I also have really pale skin so it looks even brighter on me.. I feel like a clown or something..
And my birthday is on Monday.. !

My hair is naturally dark brown. In the past i died it red which is almost grown out. I died my hair dark brown so it would all be one color but after a few weeks it was fading lighter and lighter! I want my hair dark brown again. What can i do without it fading? And i dont want to wait till all of my hair grows out again cause my hair is very long. Do i have any other option?

ok, my fingernails always have dirt under them, yes I take showers, yes I wash my hands, is there any way to keep them dirt free, to me when I see people with dirt under their finger nails I see them as dirty people so when I see I have dirt under mine I freak and look for something small and pointy to get the dirt out any suggestions

My daughter's birthday is coming up (she's 15) and i need to buy her a gift. She was complaining about how she's the only girl at school without a tote bag, which have become increasingly popular at her high school. I've seen them before they have brown leather straps and come in many colors and the outside seems to be made out of a vinyl sort of material.
