My travel basketball season is just starting and I'm sick of putting my hair back in a ponytail. My cousin knows how to braid, but she's older and just got a job so shes always busy. I have thick, shoulder lenght african-american hair (if that helps).

I'm 54, a little grey in front, otherwise brunette. I wear my hair short. I have a round face, and need a little height on top. I don't have much hairstyling skill. I don't want to color, and hubby doesn't like spiky hair. What are some really effective styling products, and easy to do styles?

A girl at my school has something big time over me and the two of us tease each other a lot. I guess I made one two many comments about her makeup and she warned me that I was going to regret it. I guess she decided that she's going to teach me exactly goes into putting on makeup. She left a message ony my voicemail that I was to go buy lipstick, blush, foundation, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, press on nails, and nail polish this afternoon and not to get dollar store stuff. I'm going to go along with this for a couple or reasons, but I don't want to bankrupt myself. I noticed she didn't tell me colors so I'm not even going to concern myself with that. What is the cheapest way/ place to buy these things? Is there like a starter kit of some kind I could get? I'd like to do this all for under $30.

No matter what product brand I use, or if I put some sort of foundation on or not, I can never get my eye shadow to stay on my eyes. it seems to crease or disappear within a few hours....... any body have anything that will help it stay on longer??

I have somewhat curly hair and I hate it...its not curly enough to be curly and its just annoying me. I want to permanently straighten my hair but I have heard that this can totally damage your hair and sometimes it can start falling off.
