"Here is a guide to the five main face shapes - and which glasses suit which shape.

Round - People with round faces - such as Elton John - have wide foreheads and rounded chins. If your face is this shape Sharezah recommends that you choose glasses with an angular shape, to break up the roundness of the features. She also recommends that you choose glasses that are wider than they are deep. 'This is because round faces tend to be short,' she says. 'Deep glasses on a round face will hide more of the face and so make it appear even shorter. Glasses that aren't as deep will make the face look longer.'

Heart-shaped - If you have quite a large forehead and a neat, heart-shaped chin, you probably have a heart-shaped face like Jennifer Aniston. This shape of face can suit both round and angular glasses as it contains both angular and round shapes. Avoid glasses that are wider at the top than the bottom, however, as this could make your face appear 'top heavy'.

Oval - You're in luck if you have an oval face, like Natalie Appleton. This type of face is considered to be a well balanced shape because it is usually softly rounded with high cheekbones and can usually take round or angular glasses.

Square - Square-faced types like Sophia Loren usually have broad, deep foreheads, wider jawlines and square chins. Because their faces are angular they suit rounded or oval shaped glasses to soften their look.

Oblong - If you have an oblong-shaped face like Ulrika Jonsson you should avoid small or narrow square-shaped glasses. Wider frames look much better than narrow frames as they break up the length of the face. Square shaped glasses only emphasise the angular features of the face. "

Or why not try contacts? They're a lot cheaper and more comfortable than they used to be.

Hope this helps.

Time to get you an eye exam. For $20 more they can fit you for contacts. Face will feel less heavy and you wont look so you say geeky. I wear glasses and i look dam good. Its all in what kind of glasses you buy. You want a certain color glasses, and pair of glasses with a certain frame shape thats gonna go with your face shape. People usually go for the nerdy looking glasses cause theyre cheaper. You cant just buy any glasses you have to get the ones that bring out your face. If you cant afford an eye exam right now just take the glasses you have on now and go get them adjusted so theyll fit better.

Get contact lenses, or buy a new updated, hip pair of specs. I wear contacts some days and my glasses other days. Some celebrities wear glasses even when they don't even have a prescription. They just like the "look". If they're crooked, then go the place where you bought them and ask them to adjust them for you. See if you are still under warranty for the frames. Or you can just buy one of those little eye glass kits and tighten up your frames yourself. That's what I do.

If you must wear glasses, go and look for a better pair that compliment you better. There are some well trained people out there that sell glasses that can help find the pair that is best for your shape face, etc. Glasses don't have to be geeky. There are some real cool ones out there. Let it be a fashion statement.

Meanwhile, while you are waiting on those to be made, have the optician straighten the ones you already have.

if you MUST wear glasses, and they are crooked ...you can easily fix them (plastic frame)..take a blowdryer and hold it on the bridge part right above your nose...that heats up the plastic and makes it easier to mold. then grab your glasses holding at the top and bottom of both lens frames...and then twist to which ever way works for you. if you set them down on a flat surface and both arms touch the ground..they are striaght.
hope that helps.

if it didnt make any sense i am sure you can take them to a sunglass hut or something have have them straighen them out for you.
