I'm a african american but some reason I hate getting my hair cut. How can I make my hair grow super long to go pass my shoulders ? Any tips !

My hair has been over processed many times. Last time my scalp had scabs on it the next day. Now I have thinning spots where the hair won't grow. Now my scalp burns with just a reconstructor applied. Any IDEAS on getting my scalp healthy enough to grow hair?
