Stay away from perms and hair dyes. If you just have to have a perm, use a mild perm and only do it once every 4 to 6 months(professionally). And if you just need color then only use a hair color rinse...clairol is pretty good and it isnt strong. Your ends should be trimmed every month, especially after getting a perm.
When conditioning instead of setting under a heated dryer, use a plastic cap. Stay away from too much heat as it will over process and damage the hair. If you want straight hair find yourself a good ceramic flat iron with a heat control setting and flat iron your hair only once a week. The good ceramic flat irons cost anywhere from $30 to $100 dollars. Try hairart irons...they are costly but the results is worth the money.
When going to bed NEVER EVER use rubber bands, scrunchies etc., to put your hair up. Always wrap your hair(brush it up in a circular motion) and tie it up with a silk scarf or you can use a silk cap.
Always keep ur scalp moisturized by using lite oils like a tea tree oil. If your concerned that the oil may make your hair too greasy then part your hair into sections and lightly dab the oil onto your scalp by using a Qtip or a cotton ball.
Last...use pantene shampoos and conditioners.
Good luck!

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aMLIM While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

make sure you eat healthy, and take good care of your hair, [deep conditioner every few days]
take a hair and nail multi-vitamin, and dont put hair in tight styles[cornrows, pony tails etc. this creates breakage, and especially with your kind of hair, which is the most fragile of all hair types, and also the most beautyful in my opinion! good luck!!!!!

you MUST get regular trims. period. and wait.... and take care of it.
yes-- vitamins may help it grow.
yeah, dread locks will let you grow your hair out, but you will probably end up cutting them out when you are done.
