Hair peroxide and skin peroxide are different products and neither should ever be used alone to lighten hair. Hair peroxide or developer is to be used in conjunction with other ingredients. If you try either one alone the results could range from orange colored hair to hair breaking off at the scalp. Please go to a salon and get this done professionally.

Firstly, you're nuts, I would kill for jet black but it doesn't suit me.
If you are going to bleach your hair be very very careful and always remember that there is more pigment in black hair than any other colour - consequently the bleach must be left in for longer and there is a much greater chance of you ending up with a brassy colour if you are not careful. If you must lighten your hair then pay a professional to do it.

You don't. You let a professional help you pick out a nice pretty color that will suit you and compliment your skin tone.

sweetie you are black like myself... peroxide will damage your hair, and cause breakage... go to the hair salon tell them what you want.If this isn't feasible...Try a line of hair color made for women of color... My stylist uses Revlon.

Just don't do it. I answered another question like this earlier. Buy a kit and save yourself the grief and agony.
