I am wearing a purpose strapless dress that ends just above my knee. Would you recommend tights, pantyhose or barelegs? Should I wear open toed or closed toed heels. I am anticipating that it is going to be a bit cold.

Pantyhose is a must, especially when it will be a little cold. As far as heels, closed toe look a little more formal where open toe look more partyish. But that is a matter of personal choice.

Since it's winter time and most of us get a lil pastey during this time i'd wear pantyhose for a lil color. If you're like me and don't like pantyhose that's okay too, just make sure you shave your legs.

As for shoes, either would work. But if you are going to wear the open toed shoes, make sure your toe nails are painted. Choose a polish that matches your dress (or if you are a bridesmaid a polish that matches the flowers you are gonna carry)

Oh, and most importantly.... have fun!

I would recommend bare legs and open toe shoes. Dresses usually look best with bare legs, but if you think it will be cold, you should probably wear nude panty hose to keep you warm. But, that would also mean you have to wear closed toe shoes and wont be able to show off those manicured nails! And, since your dress is strapless, a not too showy (but noticeable) choker would look nice. Hope you're able to make up your mind, have fun at the wedding!

Purpose?

Cool- but strapless- equals hose and close toes.
No tights with strapless- no barelegs- open toes in cold.
Shows common sense.
Have a wrap too- in case it is chilly- to cover your shoulders.

strapless dress above the knee? I say bare legs if you have nice ones, well groomed, maybe a touch of self tanner for a little color (try this out long before hand). In any case, pantyhose will probably look retarded. I suppose it depends what your dress looks like for me to say whether open or closed toe is appropriate, but on what you've said i'd go for open.

congrats and good luck!

Barelegs and a shawl so you don't get grass stains on your nice dress when the groom ravages you again, and again, and again on his way to the limo... your questionable innocence will be the best wedding present he'll get

The gown you confirmed us is purple and that's between the colours she does not desire. Why no longer bypass with a deep lilac or maybe pink. You did no longer say what shade your b/f is wearing yet I ought to contemplate whether he's wearing purple. i could stay according to the colour of the bridesmaids clothing. possibly you should get a similar gown as interior the image yet in deep lilac or pink. Oh! ok........i think of the yellow one is optimal and could be perfect yet no longer with a lilac ribbon. shop all of it yellow with the yellow sandals......perfect!

i would say go with closed toe shoes and bare legs, put a self tanner on them or one of those lotions that have golden shimmer it looks great and also a high thin heal makes your legs look more defined
