I'm not talking about bulking up, but becoming muscularly defined and very fit like a triathlete. It's infinitely better for your health than other things like wearing high heels, but none of my friends who are girls will work out with me stating that they don't want to look guyish, or something like that.
First of all that can't happen unless you do some serious weightlifting and consume a gazillion calories. Other wise you'll still look "womanly". I told my friends this, but they won't do it. However they'll cavil about their lack of fitness.
Obviously not all women are this way, but it seems to me that most women are far concerned with how they look than with how healthy they are. And will even do things that make them feel worse, as long as they think it will make them look better. Why is this?
