You should definitely wait til you are 18 to get this done. Do you know that tongue rings can affect your dental health? You might want to talk to your dentist first too.

why be like every1 else - all thse girls have the tramp stamp above their butts (tattos - mostly butterflies), belly rings, and toungue rings - be an individual - let alone you van get serious problems with the tongue ring and infections and even probs with your entire mouth and teeth cause the ball can damage your mouth under the tongue - happened to a friend of mine- thenit isn't so cool. listen to your parents - that would be mature and being an individual - if you have to lie about something you should not do it and they will find out anyway so why bother. if u are still getting grounded, you are not old enough to make these decisions - wait til you are 18 and see if you still want it then - chances are you will see how it is so overdone and just a fad and how every one has one cause they think it's cool - are you just going to do everything all your friends get - what's the point of being you? if you wait, a few years I bet you are happy you never bothered. try to be a leader not a follower - what ever happened to 14 and 15 yr olds - when i was that age which was not that long ago, this crap did not go on - tattooed, pierced kiddies running around getting punished -- not to be rude, but seriously - be mature and don't do it - if you need to lie, it's the wrong choice cause you should not have to lie about something you know is ok to do - and therefore that alone should tell you not to do it - what are you going to do - just make your whole life about doing things behind people's backs and lying -- that does not sound too "cool" to me - that sounds sad.

if you don't want them to find out don't get one
I also don't think it's legal for a 15 year old to get one, at least not without parental consent, and even then I don't know
it would be pretty much impossible to hide it for 2 years!
Plus if you take it out, the hole starts healing up immediately and you might not even get it back in after an hour. I could almost assure you if you took it out during the day and left it out for the day when you're "at home with the family" you're not going to be able to put it back in when you go to bed, the hole will have closed up too much.
They do sell small, clear things to help hide the hole, i can't remember what they're called.
that whole drunk and don't know what happened thing...if I were your parent i would know that is BS right away. And who lies about getting a piercing by saying they got drunk at a party when they are 14 years old?

Oh man- u're crazy!I'd say don't ever do it, cuz its totally unsafe, major pain & lks stupid. Also u can't talk with the thing.:( U also can't hide it from your rents either. Really think about this. Ask some dr's or pharmacists if u want & they'll tel u how bad it is, no joke. Now if u're gonna do it anyway, u have 2 know yor rents will most likely find out. U won't b able to take it in the 1st while after u get it. I doubt it'll work.Tho if u're abs sure yor rents won't freak if they believe yor lie about going 2 a party & not remembering wut happened when u got up & they won't kill u 4 it, then take a chance. U'll only know after u've done it if u'll regret it or not. Gd luck.:)

I really think you shoudln't do it. Like they said, its illegal to do it without a parents consent. If they allow it without the parents consent, then the place you're getting it done at isn't save enough meaning you can catch an infection or some sort of thing that would bring you trouble. when you get you're toungue pierced you start talking and eating different so your parents might notice. I suggest you should ask your parents and see what they think, like tell them, im doing this essay on blah blah blah and i was wondering what age would you allow your kids to get a tongue ring? something like that. i dont think you'd be able to hide it for 2 years, and if you get it you'll get so used to it that you'll forget you have one and you'll froget to hide it from your parents. just save yourself all the trouble and dont do it. Since you want it so bad, try thinking of something else that would make you just as happy but that your parents would approve of.

honestly I would just wait till you are 18, and out of the house to get it done, and I think anyways that you have to be like either 16 or 18 to get it done without parental consent (they either have to be with you or sign a form). And I really don't think that your parents are going to buy your excuse. And... won't your parents get just as mad if you told them that you went out and got drunk at the age of 14!!!!!!!!!

frist of all your crazy to think your gonna get away with it
cause its in your mouth and when you talk you see it
trust me if you parents dont want you to have it then wait till you 18 to get it legal cause it is illegal to get it pierced by a pro
unless you go underground and get a infection in you tounge
not good
also when your tounge is pierced it will be swollen for a few days
so your parents will wonder why
im lucky my mom lets me have piercing plus i have friends who are pro piercers i have about 8 piercings and im 16
but hun in reality DONT GET IT TILL YOU ARE 18
its the best thing and you wont get grounded or when you are 16 when it legal with parent consent talk to your parents and maybe they might get it for you
also if you lived in las vegas i could of done it for you if your parents say yes cause im becoming a piercer as soon as i turn 18
so yea WAIT

Tongue rings look really cheap and particularly on little girls of 14. You have plenty of time to get all the piercings you want when you're older and able to do whatever you want. I'm with your parents on this one.

So, they will be mad if you get your tounge pierced, but if you tell them you were drunk when it happened it will be okay? Nice. Don't get it. You are 15. You don't know nearly as much as you think you do. Listen to your parents.
