I was wondering if its possible and how?

I am getting married at the beach in March and I need something not so formal as a wedding gown. I invested alot of money in my prom dress a few years back but it is baby blue so I was wondering could it be possible for me to dye it white so I can wear it for the wedding?? How??? All answers and info will be greatly appreciated.

You can't dye something white, white is not a colour. Don't bleach it either, that will eat away at the threads. You don't say what it's made from but you can buy stuff that will remove colour, it's in the same box that dye is, it's called colour-remove or something like that. You may have to do it twice, but that will be way safer then bleaching it.

You probably could get it a pale blue color. It is hard to dye a blue dress white, depending on the shade of blue. You could try bleach or white clothing dye.

I think the name of the product is Rit Dye Remover. Look at a box of permanent dye from the grocery store and it will tell you how to remove color and the product to buy. You can also go the cleaners. They should know or either google.com.

beautiful gown... you may attempt to bleach it, yet i do no longer think of that ought to be an exceedingly solid concept, because it may harm the shear-finding fabric, or burn holes in it. you may attempt Oxygen Bleach (all-fabric bleach), yet i will't assure the outcomes you're finding for. ***"Oxygen bleach is risk-free for many colored washing device-friendly fabric. although, if the care label states "No Bleach," do no longer use any bleach _ no longer even an oxygen bleach. to verify if a colour is bleach risk-free, blend a million teaspoon (5 ml) dry oxygen bleach to a million cup (240 ml) warm water or persist with training on the kit. place some drops of attempt answer or undiluted liquid oxygen bleach on an no longer truly considered element of fabric for the time special on the kit. If colour does not bleed or there isn't any colour substitute, oxygen bleach could be used. "***

Use bleach to fade the blue first. Then you can use white dye... I guess, but it depends on the kind of fabric.

I wish you the best of luck and congratulations in advance on getting married. ^_^
