I am slowly building a portfolio of photographs ready to hopefully start a new career path. Does anyone know how or where I can get a stamp to mark the back of the picture to stop people taking the photographs to a shop and getting duplicates. People are already taking an interest and I dont want my pictures "stolen"
All answers are very much appreciated

Thank you

Does anyone know a good Photo Stock House I could submit images to. I a graphic designer for a photographer and I am trying to find somewhere to submit images. We are a new company and I'm trying to get the business on its feet. We are already represented by a stock house in Spain. If you would like to see what kind of photography we have our website is www.mingomorvin.com , any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Among the basics, I want to be able to have long exposure (very long- T mode and especially B mode) a close-up or macro setting, high zoom, good for large prints, strobe mode and any other built-in features that seem impressive all at a relatively low price.

I'm having a halloween/slumber party for my 13th and really want to take some good pictures with a basic disposable camera. But I don't think my friends will be able to pose or get in the right positions so I can take good pictures. I was thinking if they all lay on thier backs on my trampoline with their heads nearest the middle wearing costumes or pajamas as just one picture, but any other creatives ideas that are simple to do without professional equipment? I really don't want to spend half of the party taking pictures and making people stand for ages trying to get them in a good pic.

I have a Digital Picture of my wedding witch I retouch a little bit on Photoshop, I want to print it on 8"x10" on Black and White. I tried CVS but I came out too light and on Glossy paper, that's the best they can do there they said. My friend told me that some Walmarts have an special printer for b&w. The picture size is 4MB Is that enough for an 8"x10"? I am looking for the best I can get without expending that much money. Any ideas? What should I ask in the store?? Any term I need to know??Thanks.

I think it would be useful if those who rated answers explained their rationale, especially if its a negative rating. I would hate to think anyone would give an answer a bad rating just for spite.

I have an olympus C760 digital camera and was thinking of geting an underwater case for snorkelling and have realised that the inbuilt popup flash cannot be used with the housing.

Is a flash necessary for this type of underwater photography.
The flash accessory costs a LOT!

Thanks

Volunteering for the local shelter to do some photographs of the pets they have in for their website. Any advice for taking picture of pets? What is more appealing to people.... action shots, cuddle shots, close ups? Should I attempt to capture personality or should I keep the photos standard so people can come in and gauge the personality on their own?

I have difficulty finding photos on My Pictures. How can I see them all at My Pictures? Why is Picassa better than My Pictures for seeing photos that are on the hard drive?

Many times people come here and ask, "What's a good lens for scenic photography?" They get the standard answer that pretty much says, "The wider, the better." Yes, I admit that 12-24 is a "classic" scenery lens, but is that the only answer?

Here's a new composite that I made for consideration in this question. I didn't spend hours getting rid of the haze, so I apologize for that, but that's not the point of this exercise.

I really don't know if I want them or not. To tell you the truth I think I look horrible in any pictures, regardless if it's professional or not. Even if I did decide to get senior pictures I don't really have anything really special to wear and nothing cool to put in the pictures. I also have not so great a smile and feel even though I would smile and they would photoshop my braces out I still am weary. I'm also concerned about money, my father passed away about 3 years ago and I've always held myself back from things because I'm worried about money since my mom is a single working mom. I'm really conflicted. T_T
