I believe the artist wants to show that God is looking down on the world, and sad about the shape it is in. The tear shows the sadness, and the eyes, looking toward the earth shows where the disappointment is. The wrinkle above the eye, also shows a concern.

Well, the altruistic God created this earth and created us to peacefully co-exist in mellifluous harmony. But, as we evolved and wielded superior intelligence, and we succumbed to greed and destruction....Humans have hurt this world in unthinkable ways, even so that the generation today does not show any care or concern towards it's protection.
The balance was long disturbed and has raised bars in the form of flagrant bodies of pollution, poverty and hopelessness.
How would it be to create a beauty and then watch it degrade in front of your own eyes? That is what the picture depicts. He is anxious, worried, sad, plangent and in a state of melancholy as he watches his creations destroy each other. He is worried how we will cope up with the future as he foresees a dreaded one.
Perhaps, and just perhaps, it is better to change ourselves atleast so that people cannot create pictures of such disdain.

That's easy! & I commend the artist who did this one.
If i were God or Jesus,I would be crying over the earth I made also!
Look how mankind has destroyed & mutilated the beauty God created for us!Look at the way we live & hurt one another.See all the selfishness we use everyday, when He told us to love one another & take care of one another.
Shame on us all!

I think it's fairly poignant in its message apparent. It is certainly understandable that Jesus would (and probably DOES) grieve over this world, its people, and the mess we as humans have made of his creation.

Very touching. Very telling.

I don't think it's what God had in mind at all.... do you?
