I don't think that they're too bad. You're right- the Comerica Park one is better. It's hard to say whether or not I think you can be a professional photographer someday, though, on just two pictures. Keep shooting everything you can and I'm sure you'll come to that answer on your own.

The Comerica Park one would have been better with less skyline. Including home plate should have been more important. The horizon line is tilted.

If you decide you want a career in photography you'll have to plan on where you want to study. Although its possible to become a professional photographer without a degree, having one will make it easier. Find out if there are any photography classes you can take now.

With your parent's permission, call local professional photographers and ask if they ever need an assistant. Tell them you don't expect to be paid. If you're fortunate enough to find one who will let you "tag along", remember that you have two ears, two eyes and one mouth. Watch and listen and save questions for later, especially while your mentor is working.

Read about photography and photographers. Although a bit dated, a copy of 'Object & Image: An Introduction To Photography, Third Edition" by George M. Craven would be a nice addition to your bookshelf. Look through the photography magazines at your library. Subscribe to the one you like best.

I, personally, enjoy biographies. Margaret Bourke-White. Edward Weston. Dorothea Lange. W. Eugene Smith. Robert Capa. Ansel Adams. Walker Evans. Gordon Parks.

Learn everything there is to know about your camera. Use every feature it has until you've exhausted its potential. This may take longer than you think.

Good luck.

No chance, sorry. ; )

You have asked the question before, with the Comerica park picture and as before nobody can tell you if you will be able to be a pro photographer in 10 years.

I would suggest, that looking for confirmation of your abilities is not particularly productive. Try to develop artistic vision and improve you technique. Sky is overexposed even in the Comerica park picture. If this is the cream of your portfolio you should maybe take some classes or something.

Anyway, good luck

They are OK shots. Trying to judge a career off of two examples is near impossible.

Start working on getting a diverse portfolio together, then ask this same question again.
