A good friend of mine asked me to be the "photographer" at her brother's wedding. When she got married, she was on a really low budget, and I offered to "take pictures" at her wedding (more just for fun on my part). She said her brother liked the pictures and said he was willing to pay me. I don't mind doing it because I really just love taking the pictures, and getting paid would be a bonus. The thing is, I by no means would call myself a professional. Please look at some pictures on my flickr site and tell me what you think I should charge??? I have no clue what I should charge. Oh, and I do have a Canon dslr camera now. The pictures on the link were taken for my own amusement with other cameras that I have. Thanks for any advice you can offer!

Every time I drive down Pacific Coast Highway at night, I look out over the ocean and see the lights from boats and what not, and I would love to take a picture, but I know since its so dark it wouldn't come out very good. How would I go about making it look decent?

I have a Fujifilm Finepix S3100 and a Nikon S1.

I'm gonna be going to a basketball game tomorrow, and I'm just wondering which of these two would be the better choice for taking action shots?

And also, any tips for taking better action shots?

Thanks in advance! :]

i worked on a few photos through phtoshop and set them as as 8x10s. I took them to cvs not knowin how they would turn out , but when i went to pic them up its was as if it loaded into the computer as a smaller photo such as a 4x6 and they just increased the size because they pictures were blurry. would it be different anywhere else iff i took them or just upladed them from a website such as mpix.com . i use a digital canon rebel

What do you do with your real photos?
I do not want to put them into a book.
Is there a good method of storing them?
Please point me to a product.
Such as a specific box, etc...

If you use a box, do you put the pictures in groups in some kind of envelope?

Is there a good site dedicated to real photos's products?
thanks

I already paid. These photos are going on my portfolio. I look a hell of a lot better than this photo shoot snapped me.

I posted the question earlier, but forgot to put a link to the pics.

The first 3 in the set are from the photographer. If you notice, in the 3rd pic, and the first, I hardly have a chin. My forehead is large, and I have no cheek bones. I am pale. I look skinny, and I have no abdominal definition. What the hell is wrong here. The third done by the photographer was at least taken at a better angle, and made me look like a have a chin, but the light was blinding me. The rest of the pics I took on my little old macintosh. What's going on here? I look like a girl in my photo shoot. Don't even completely look like myself. Not masculine and undefined. I'm blown away. Can someone tell me what's going on. I mean they like some of the photos, but to me these are the best that came from the shoot. Do I need a different photographer, different light. I'm baffled. Please help. By the way, I'm not conceited, just blown away. And, I AM NOT TRYING TO SHOW OFF (believe me). Thanks!

In some sites I see photos with captions like 30%, 50% and 100% cropped.
How does one know when s/he has cropped 30%, 50% or even 100% of a photo?

I'm shooting a wedding next weekend and would say I am an intermediate level photographer. The couple has arranged for fireworks and want a shot of them with the firworks in the background. Can anyone offer advice on how to best expose this? Would it be easier to shoot them separately and meld them together in Photoshop?

I have a FujiFilm S700. I bought the camera when I had to return a film SLR to the store and just exchanged the two out because I wanted a digital. I am still a beginner in photography and am about half way through my first photography class. I admit when I bought the camera I thought it was a digital SLR but now I know it's not...so what is it?
Also...it takes great pictures...but is it the camera taking the great pictures or is it me?
I have the manual and I have read it some but admittedly I haven't gotten all the way through it yet. Probably should do that lol.
