I posted the question earlier, but forgot to put a link to the pics.

The first 3 in the set are from the photographer. If you notice, in the 3rd pic, and the first, I hardly have a chin. My forehead is large, and I have no cheek bones. I am pale. I look skinny, and I have no abdominal definition. What the hell is wrong here. The third done by the photographer was at least taken at a better angle, and made me look like a have a chin, but the light was blinding me. The rest of the pics I took on my little old macintosh. What's going on here? I look like a girl in my photo shoot. Don't even completely look like myself. Not masculine and undefined. I'm blown away. Can someone tell me what's going on. I mean they like some of the photos, but to me these are the best that came from the shoot. Do I need a different photographer, different light. I'm baffled. Please help. By the way, I'm not conceited, just blown away. And, I AM NOT TRYING TO SHOW OFF (believe me). Thanks!

I think it's the angle and the lighting. You do have a great body, but the photos do make you look a bit immature. I really like the 3rd one. I think it's great. But, if I were you, I would ask for another photo shoot, possibly by another photographer if it is agency supplied. If you did it privately, I would ask for a reimbursement or at least a partial reimbursement. If he/she is a good photographer, he will want you to be satisfied with the product. If not, you may have to consider a small claims court proceeding.

Mason Torrey seems to know what he's talking about. I would go with his answer.

Can you please tell me what kind of lighting he used? An umbrella or a little camera flash?

I'd say this photographer isn't very experienced. He has used overexposure (which is why you are so pale and blinding) to cover up his mistakes. It's ok when you are shooting women because it's an old technique used to cover up flaws in skin but this is NOT the time to use it. Not only are you overexposed, he's photoshopped the **** out of the images to give them a.... er.. I'm not too sure what kind of look he was trying to achieve. The second image has a black edge around the boarder - he was trying to vignette the image to make it look moody. Trying to. He failed miserably. It doesn't even look like genuine vignetting. Yes he's a bad photographer. Next time, ask to see a photographer's port folio before you even let him near you with a camera. When you find a photographer you like, tell him you want your images to look like what you see in his port folio. Sign a contract that states if the images aren't what you asked for, you get a refund.

Yeah, I think you got an inexperience photographer, at least in regards to model portraiture.

Something is wrong. Overexposed msot of the shots, and the posing is not right for you. I'd find another photographer. Maybe call a local modeling agency and find out if they have a recommendation or a preferred photographer.

Given your location and lighting, there is not reason these shots couldn't come out perfect.

You are SOOOOO showing off- but that's ok. lol. I used to model, too, and didn't always like what they made me look like. Honestly, for every roll of film you might get 1 photo that does you justice. But ultimately it's not up to you, it's up to the photographer. Man, they almost cut off your whole face in one of those photos! If this was a shoot for a portfolio, hire someone else. If this was a job, it's their choice, and don't complain- nobody likes a diva.

You asked for professional advice, and you got it. If it is not to your liking, there may not be anything you can do, unless you are paying for the photos.
