As in, when I search for a picture, for instance from Google Image, or just random images from individual web pages, can I use the images for my own advertisements? is it legal? If not, where can I look for free images?

Want some really cool images that I can legally obtain (maybe sell in the future in the form of led picture art, maybe not). Would like to have them printed at a really good size 15 inch etc. Images of anything.
Thanks

I have a film camera and I want to take pictures of anything that would look good. It has several different modes (DEP, SF, etc.), and if you could tell me which mode to use for what kind of photo, that would be great.

Thanks.

I've got my grampa's old camera, Kiev 2a, made in the 1940's and i was wondering if any of u could lead me to a book that would help me figure out how the thing works and change its film and all that informational stuff. not a specific manual for that camera but like an instructional book that can help with how to deal with them, u know what i mean? If u know any good ones please tell!! thanks!

My friend is trying to figure out the name of a photographer of the 20th century whose name is something like Alfred or Albert. One of his pictures consisted of a house on the top of a tree without the use of photoshop--only a dark room.

Ok, so I have a question, how is it possible to take a picture in the dark? Like of, just for example, a flower at night. http://www.matthewweathers.com/year2002/mexico_january/plants_animals/night_white_flower.jpg

with my little digital camera, it always comes out completely dark. Or, if I use flash, it makes it look like daylight anyway. Is it my camera or is there a technique?

I have a Vivitar portable flash unit, a 2800 I think. I have fresh batteries in it, and it's turned on but it doesn't act like it is at all. I attached to the hotshoe of the flash a peanut slave-like thing that intercepts a flash and powers the flash it's attached to. The problem is, nothing happens at all. At this point it's so frustrating, since I invested so much into these flash devices and nothing works. It's such a pain it doesn't seem like the extra bonus from flash was ever worth switching over to from continuous.

What do you do with your real photos?
I do not want to put them into a book.
Is there a good method of storing them?
Please point me to a product.
Such as a specific box, etc...
thanks

So I have heard that there are places that will buy your pictures, like to use in books or calendars or whatever. I have heard that some people make really good money this way.

Do you know of any places that pay well for these kinds of things? I would like to look into doing some photography for calendars, etc. and just don't know where to start.

Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

Hello,

I'm an SF-based wedding photographer. I've been dealt with almost every lighting situation possible, but I'm still really curious as to what other photographers do in low-light situations.

I usually tend to shy away from using my speedlite flash as much as possible -- if I do I use a lumiquest softbox diffuser... but I'm looking for other alternatives... Do you use any special technique to achieve a nice photo without ruining it with flash? I shoot with a canon 30D and a f/2.8L 24-70 lens the majority of the time... the lens is really fast which helps...

Looking forward to hearing your answers/suggestions!

I got a Speedlite 430EX that came with my Canon Rebel xti and I don't have a clue as to how to use the thing or why I should use it over the regular built in flash. I did read the manual but i don't know how to apply what it said to my camera. For example.. what is flash exposure lock? What is high speed sync good for? Why would i need a "trail" in Second Curtain Sync? I semi understand bounce flash althogh it doesn't ever seem to do what i think it will. Any tips with that? And why is there a zoom option on the flash? And what wide panel are they referring to? Any help would be godsend, thanks lol. Oh and what is a slave? And while i have a whole stream of questions, why even with the flash on in my house can i not get a even semi decent speed in AP mode. It won't even go over 1/50 ever. Usually it stays alot lower than that, sometimes in the 0'' range.
