I'm thinking I may want to start a home-based photography business in the next couple years - weddings, senior pictures, things like that. I was wondering if anyone had any advice/recommendations. I know I'll need a professional quality digital camera, an office in my home, good photo editing software, and maybe some set ups for pictures. I'm kind of confused, when you use a digital camera, and edit online, where do you get the prints from? Do you order them online? Do you order them from a photolab? Any advice/recommendations will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Please if you can answer maturely......

Ok sometimes I like images because of a point of difference, while others dont like it for the reason I do.

A loose example would be I like the composition of an image and then others say "its not centered".

Do you know what I mean?

Is it just natural that "untrained" eyes expect to see "normal" images and "trained" eyes have issues with things like centered faces or horizons - to give more loose examples..

What you say?

I would like to start taking pictures of sports teams, school pictures, etc, and am wondering if anyone knows of a company that would be able to turn those pictures into 3 x 5 or 5 x 7 pictures, etc, so they could pass those pictures out to family, etc.

I just started doing photography professionally and today I had a consult with a 17 year old boy that is having senior pictures taken this Saturday. He was painfully shy. His mother had to answer most of his questions for him, and she says she won't be able to come with him to the session. How do I get him to open up around me so his nervousness doesn't come across in his photos?
