I'm getting ready to purchase a flash bracket for my Canon Digital Rebel XT. I was wondering if I have to purchase the TTL Sync Cord to go with it. Thanks!

Yes.

Without the sync cord the camera and flash will be unable to "communicate" with each other.

Congratulations on deciding to get a flash bracket. You'll be ever so glad you did. Plus it looks kinda cool too - very pro like.

Yes. A bracket is just a holder. An overpriced holder if you ask me. So you will need to get a sync cable to go with it. But to be on the safe side, ask before you buy it. You'll never no, they might have incorporated a sync cable into the bracket.

Yes, you will.

But before you buy, be aware that there are varying qualities of bracket.

The cheapie folding type you find in most camera stores may not be sturdy enough -- some are pretty wobbly.

A good brand is Stroboframe, but they're pricey. If you can track down one of the older Vivitar swivel grips, they are industrial strength and supremely comfortable to hold.

Hope this helps.
