It depends on the contest... I think #5 (Lori's Eyes) is odd enough to catch someone's attention compared to the thousand or more images that they will be judging.
I want to put in my 2¢ a about contests, though. Before you enter any contest, be sure to read every single word in their terms and conditions. Some contests say that simply entering your photograph will transfer all rights to the photograph to the organization running the contest. Even more say that the winning images will become theirs. No matter how tempting the prizes, please consider very carefully before you enter such a contest.
There are other contests that treat you with respect and let you maintain the copyright to your original work, but you must agree to let them use a copy of your photo in their own publications and promotional literature at no charge. I see this often and it's just a cheap way for the organization to obtain some quality photos at little or no cost.
Just read all of the fine print and be sure that the terms of the contest are terms that you can live with.

Their all really good.
Although its a tough choice between 1 and 2.
The first one is really balenced and unique but the second one kind of brings out the personality of a cat.
I'm guessing Lori was climbing a tree?
Well if I had to choose I'd have to say 1 but if you want something that brings out the personality of any day cat 2 would be best.
Good luck on the contest!

I like 4 and 5, and agree that 5 is more unusual and might be attention grabbing for a contest. I would suggest using a bit of photoshopping to remove the light area in the upper right on #5, It is a bit distracting, and would be an easy fix. Good luck!

okay i think i am going against everyone here but I think #1 and #3 are the best.
#1 is great...you were following the "rule of thirds" with this (even if you didnt know it, lol) and its black and white which makes it look nice
#3 i like because of the unique angle. very cool!
I am sure the judges will be looking for a picture that is unique and not something that just anyone would take of their kitty.
good luck!

it somewhat is an surprisingly good photograph. I only approximately choose for to adhere that as a historic past. :) definite, I do think of it might in wonderful condition below the class of community. it might desire to be greater beneficial if the momma swan replaced into interior the photograph yet you could no longer continually get the suitable shot and clearly you could no longer pose the swans. in case you do no longer ought to complication approximately fee of getting into the competition, then pass forward and do it. i've got gained adequate contests, even once I wasn't particular that what I submitted replaced into sturdy adequate. i could no longer view quite some imagery out of your internet site. that would desire to be through fact my cyber web is slowish. yet i admire that photograph plenty and in case you could no longer think of of all and sundry it somewhat is larger, then only choose for it and sturdy luck.

2 and 4 are both great. But I'll go for 2, the B/W one, because one of the eyes in 4 is partly shaded. Cute kitty. :)
