Ok, I am a high school senior and I have started doing a bit of freelance work. Recently, I was given a room in which to set up a small studio and the business has progressed faster than I had anticipated. I have had several offers to set up a "real" studio as well as a professional photographer to work for me. I was curious if anyone has ever set up a studio and if you could give me input and tips in doing so. Broad answers are good, as I am having to deal with every aspect of starting a buisness.

I have a canon slr (film) t2. I want to take pictures of my husband, baby and I for christmas this weekend. I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for me as to what I can do with Natural Lighting (also, I hear that people get lights from home depot...any suggestions with that??), getting good Catchlights, and what kind of Props I can use. I have white and black seamless paper backdrops. I really would love for these to come out great. I have a 7month old little boy and really am trying to advoid going to sears. I am trying to learn more photography on my own but wanted some peoples professional opinion if possible. Thanks SO much to all who respond.

I am using 2 250W halogen photog bulbs in industrial aluminum dish clampable flood lights with a canon dig. pwershot sd450 and still getting dark images.
All this aside, what is the best way to get a crisp indoor shot with this camera and not spending alot of money?

I would like to make my own postcard from my art works.

Does anyone know where I can do that?

I am looking for a store that accept 30 or so print orders as a minimum, not that expensive, and good quality. (or close to that)

Thank you.

Thank you all who helped before regarding my question on increasing my depth of field to overcome not having manual focus while shooting stop animation.

My question is, if I focus on an object about 10 inches away on f8 at 1/2 sec, is the depth of focus behind the object, in front or equal distance.

It may seem a stupid question but bear with me.

My life is committed to Photography but the only thing that I feel I am not good at is how to choose a perfect view in landscape and what time of the day is best for fotography also what time of the year, which I think is the most important thing for any Photographer, I know all about lights, and camera set ups Manual, Auto, speed, I use SLR camera on manual only, and so on....
I really would like to discuss this matter or get some feed back from you all.
Thanks to all,
