I am looking for suggestion on a nice, relatively inexpensive, digital camera for a novice photographer interested in high quality, mutliple feature and a good included software.

Any pointers will help.

Let us say that I wish to photograph with a flash, or if not with a flash on my camera, with an aperture of 16f. Will it make any difference if I use a lens with aperture that can go as far as 1.2f compared with a flash that only can open to 5.6f....?

I have recently bought a second hand Canon Eos 300 SLR (analogue). I want to learn the basics of photography with the aim of becoming at least semi-professional in the coming years. My game plan is to earn enough money using this basic, older, analogue model to buy a new digital SLR when the time is right (purely as I do not have the facilities for my own dark room). Therefore the money I earn will buy me a new camera.

What is the best way to go about this- how should I present my shots, bearing in mind I will have to get them developed out on the High Street; who are the best sort of people to send them to?

Thanks!

PS, I realise there must be a hundred questions on here like this one but as an absolute novice I just need to know where to start. Someone recommended investing in a really nice album and getting my photos developed as white-bordered 8x6s, one shot to an album page, and presenting my work to local galleries and papers- good idea?

I'm using Photoshop 2.0 and I need to fix a photo that was taken at night time with a digital camera. The picture appears almost solid black (you can see the faintest trace of a real photo if you look really closely), and I need to make the subject visible and clear with as close to it's actual color as possible. Step by step instructions would be great.

I want to start charging for enhancing/fixing/restoring photos through ebay. But I don't know if I've marketed it right or if I'm charging an OK amount. I spend a minimum of an hour and half per photo and do it diligently - I don't just use quick photoshop filters.

Could you let me know what you think and whether you have any suggestions for improvement?

I'm 17. I'm a junior in highschool, and i love photography. Runway photography is easily my passion, and what I want to make my job. I just want some suggestions on where to go to major in this after high school, or what I could to now to work on that. I work with a Kodak Easyshare P880, with a wide zoom lens, manual settings, aperture, tons of pre-set settings, auto...etc, it's a really great camera. Anyways, any suggestions would be wonderful :)

A friend has recommended I do this as I am an absolute beginner who wants to progress on to photography at a serious level; they said to learn on an analogue before moving on to a more expensive digital SLR- your thoughts?

Thanks!

I download my photos from my digital camera to a folder and then I can't print the full picture.
This also happens to every photo I try to print.
I would just like to print the photos without them being cropped by Windows. Any ideas?

I am looking to start into the business of photography and I already have all of the equipment and I'm self teaching myself, to do photography.( I don't have the money to do any schooling right now) So can I call/consider myself a photographer or a professional photographer, without going to school? I really want to do this and I've already used family and friends and landscapes to start my photo portfolio and they've all told me that my pictures are just as good as any other photographer around my area.
