I want to start charging for enhancing/fixing/restoring photos through ebay. But I don't know if I've marketed it right or if I'm charging an OK amount. I spend a minimum of an hour and half per photo and do it diligently - I don't just use quick photoshop filters.

Could you let me know what you think and whether you have any suggestions for improvement?

Thanks 'rqerita'. I've just added a touch of colour to the black & white photo.

Ok I just checked out your page and you do hell of a job, you must have the patience, And I too would pay that price for a the touch ups you do. I have most of the programs but I just don't have the time or patience

Is this a disguised advertisement for your work ?

Anyway I find photoshop is OK and has all the features I need (and NOT only filters!) and I would never pay a single penny for having my photos retouched by someone else.

My lab's restoration outsource charges $39 USD, and the quality is often un-impressive. If you're good at it, you should be able to charge at least $20 an hour.

If you're getting lots of business at your price point. might be time to raise the price, or at least charge extra for doing more than levels and color adjustment.

Good luck!
