I download my photos from my digital camera to a folder and then I can't print the full picture.
This also happens to every photo I try to print.
I would just like to print the photos without them being cropped by Windows. Any ideas?

Control of the printed size is in the software being used for the print.

Sounds like the software you are using only allows some fixed sizes that require cropping. (My pc defaults to the HP Photo Print Wizard that automatically crops and rotates. I don't use that.)

You need to change to a different software for printing. Almost all the photo-editing software products (like Photoshop, Elements, etc.) give you complete control of print size. If you don't have one already, download a free one like Picasa or IrfanView. Then just set the desired print size in the print dialogue.

Most digicams are set up for an aspect ratio of 4:3. This corresponds directly to a print size of 4.5x6 inches without cropping. But 4:3 does not correspond to other "standard" print sizes like 4x6, 5x7 or 8x10. If you want those sizes, you will have to crop it your self (or else print slightly bigger than the standard size and cut off the excess).

Good Luck

When you print, click on the properties tab of the print window - what you see on this page will depend on your printer and printer software. This properties page will usually have options for scaling, fitting/stretching the page/image, orientation, paper selection, and so on. Try these options to get the right print.

Another simple alternate option would be to download IrfanView from http://www.irfanview.com , load your photo in IrfanView, use File->Print and use the various print options. IrfanView is free.

Hope this helps and have a nice time printing :)

Use a Photo Software to help you print photos, here you can find a free photo software : http://downint.googlepages.com/photoprinting.html
it will allow you to choose the size of your printed photo, of course printing can be done at home if you have a printer or even online.

yah, whatever that guy above said...and i just like to add,
your image size and dimension is usually different from window xp file. I think window has some kind of an image editor or an image reader. if you can change the dimension to the proper size, you will print you full picture. if not, try to reduce the size so that it is a little smaller than the window dimension first than print. goodluck.

Picasa is the best software to manage and edit images. I got it for free here http://j.mp/1pkfXvB

It's developed by Google and works very well.
