What is the easiest way to earn a living as an artist

2007-06-16 09:54:43 · 6 answers · asked by sbmuralist 1

My fiance is a tattoo artist and I want him to draw me a full back piece with really pretty exotic flowers and leaves. Where can I find some pictures online? Would I be better off just getting a book from the library? Thanks!

I deleted my post earlier because I felt that the photos weren’t portrayed the way they should be, anyway I was wondering is the first photo better or worse than the second photo. and if If this person can use the second photo in a modeling portfolio?, I know which 1 is my fav. But I want to fan it out and see what the people think, in the second, I only changed the background, smoothed the skin and put a water mark on there, as apposed to the other one which I had done a lot of work(including face alterations & a lesson well learned on fixing photos to much) and still got nothing really out of it, so let me know what you think and tell me how to improve my photography ability…..

I have submitted photos before and it seems that my photos are always choosen and they always mail me a form wanting $65.00 for a coffee table book with my photo in it. Does anyone use this site or know if it's a scam or not? before a send them money.

Well, I live in San Diego, and I want to go to Photography school.

What is the best school to go to? And HOW do you know it is? Please tell me what you got out of it, and where it took your, or a friend, or family memeber.

I just got my pictures back from my vacation and i was really excited, until i saw the quality of the pictures...i haven't used a disposable camera in a few years and was wondering if pictures like this are normal....on one camera i only got 18 of 27 exposures and i think only 13 of them are decent quality. the other camera was not much better. does this look like bad picture taking, or a mistake on the photo departments part? person behind the counter said it was just bad picture taking..but in two pics there are black areas on the far right of the picture (pretty hard to get when you are on a beach)

I am trying to take a picture and have it printed on a pillow case. Not something that will wear off, but will last when I wash it. Can be somewhere online or I can take it there.

Has anyone used a friend and regretted it. We have a friend w/a 35mm cam that is nice but I'm worried that i won't be able to use the pics she is going to put on CD to manipulate. She is going to give us all the pics, is this ok or should i go with a pro for a mint?

I was asked to take pictures for a wedding and I am not a professional (they can't afford a professional so I'm their best bet) so I don't have a lot of equipment. Just a Canon Rebel.

Half the family is black so this is a big concern of mine. I also don't want to invest in a lot of equipment for one wedding. I guess I'm looking for tips on how to take better pictures with what I have.

Thanks

My film SLR is Minolta so I can't use any of my lenses. Is the Nikon 40Dx worth it - or will I become frustrated with it and it's beginnerishness?

I'm in high school, so I don't have a lot of money. I want a camera to just take pictures of stuff, because lots of people in my family are awesome photographers, & I wanna be one too.

I have somewhat of an understanding of what it takes to get a great picture (color, balance, etc.), I just need practice.

I'd prefer an SLR camera with 5 megapixels or higher, at the lowest price, whatever that may be.

Does this REALLY make a difference? How can I get my photos to have the "sharp" look? I have a 35mm film Canon Rebel that takes wonderful photos, however, my digital (Nikon Coolpix 7.1) is what I mostly use, and the photos are suffering! Thanks!
