I need to find plexiglass or acrylic to use as highly reflective surfaces for my models..Any help is appreciated.

Most Glass stores (for replacement windows, mirrors etc) also carry plexiglas, and they will cut it to size for you. I find their prices are often better than the hardware stores.

Plexiglas is a brand of acrylic and you should be able to buy sheets of the stuff under Plastics - Sheet goods in the nearest city. The stuff is very soft and scratches easily - plan on wiping barefeet and sox before walking on it and no shoes at all. Thinner ones will crack if laid over carpet and walked on.

home depot carries a decent selection. i think the biggest they carry is about 24" x 36". they also carry lexan which is more expensive but much more scratch resistant.
there are also sometimes local companies that produce acrylic, plexi, and lexan. just look in the yellow pages for those.
