I bought an acrylic paint set today, and he was in there. Am I supposed to use him as a model? That's the best guess I had.

When i try to draw and paint, lets say a figure, lanschape or anything that has to do with relaying what my eyes see, im hopeless. I just dont feel comfortable and end up giving up I have tried many times, but come to the same conclusion, i hate doing it! Yet give me paints, brushes and a canvas, and no specifics in mind, i am in seventh heaven and have often made some really good peices of work. Mind you i didnt really think they where good, but others thought they where really very good. Everyone says i am very talented. But i am hardly ever satisfied with the end result, eventhough i really do have a great time doing it!

Are the artists referencing another artist from history? Who, why?

The spray varnish was put over Genesis oils, but for some reason they weren't compatible and the spray stays tacky. How can I gently remove the tacky varnish without harming the painting beneath?

It was finished late last night. Study it if you want to, click or double click on the image to enlarge it and give us your impressions as to what you see in this work. I see this as some sort of topograph but I'm sure you guys will see it in a different light.

This is a just for fun exercise. You aren't being graded and won't win anything (unless you count 'best answer' points) but if your title best suits what the painting represents I'll use it as the title. Hopefully, this painting will be part of the exhibit for the 'Affair In The Part' art exhibit in Beverly Hills in August.

I'm setting up casual life drawing sessions, with a model, spacious former victorian ball room, natural light, bar, and was considering a pianist to play some light music or perhaps an acoustic guitarist. And no teacher to hinder your free expression. To any artists out there does this sound good?
