I have a beautiful water color 14"x17.5." Artist's name looks like F.E.Holt (Hott?). On the back: "Oct 26, '45 LeVesinet." Front signed, followed by "LeVesinet,France - 1945." Colors are shades of lavendar, yellow, tan/brown,gray,maroon....very soft & pretty. Has anyone ever heard of F.E.Holt or have info regarding same?

The family is sitting at the table. The mother is leaning back, hand outstreched to feed the forse a nibble of table food. The food looks like cheese and apple pie. The grandmother is cutting a loaf of bread. A son, daughter and small child are also around the table. A man with a beard is standing in the background. There is a large mullioned window alcove/bay with lace curtains and potted plants on the window sill.

I have two 23" x 18" original paintings by Molly Brett. She was born in 1918 died in 2000. One of the paintings has bears, bunnys, and other animals having a picnic in a park, and the other one is of animals riding around in a train and dancing around on the beach. I do not know exactly how old they are, but my guess would be 1950's or older. They are both signed and in excellent condition. I have looked online but all I can find is posters and postcards. I just want to know what they are worth. Any help appreciated.

I am an artist, I am selling several paintings to a hotel and they want to buy the copywrite from me for each painting they buy so they can make prints to place on the walls.
I have no problem selling my copywrite BUT I do not know how much to charge? If my painting was for example 100 GBP can you help me to decide how much a copywrite for that should be? Have you had experience in this field?

i enjoy painting portraits from photographs for friends and family and people have told me that i should sell them. it would be lovely to make some money from this but i only want to do it to order (ie. they give me a photo and i can paint it, but i don't want to sell ready done paintings). how can i advertise locally? i live in york and was thinking maybe i could take out an advert in our local village magazine. has anyone got any other ideas? i can't do ebay but any other ideas would be great!
