What a beautiful painting! Look at the detail, it is almost photographic. You can see the shimmer of the fabric, the folds of the lace, the sumptuousness of the dress. You can tell she is someone of importance and status. Yes, of course I'd like to wear a dress like that and be depicted that way!

I like it Im not much into paintings. But this one is nice. She has a plesent face. A gorgase gown what it must have been like to have to cart around that dress all day. The colors and the backround are all very nice and cordanated. I dont thinkI would have liked sitting their while they painted me though. Thank god we have cameras now :)

I think that's a nice painting... and, yes, she is very pretty in that gown... it reminds me of Madame Pompadour.

she is beautiful! i would love to be painted like that! i could not wear that dress though it is a bit too froo froo for me and is a little old fashioned but if i lived in that time that would be a main subject in my personal closet!
