I have two 23" x 18" original paintings by Molly Brett. She was born in 1918 died in 2000. One of the paintings has bears, bunnys, and other animals having a picnic in a park, and the other one is of animals riding around in a train and dancing around on the beach. I do not know exactly how old they are, but my guess would be 1950's or older. They are both signed and in excellent condition. I have looked online but all I can find is posters and postcards. I just want to know what they are worth. Any help appreciated.

Molly Brett was an english illustator so the very best places to go are Chris Beetles in London (http://www.chrisbeetles.com/ )or The Medici Gallery (www.medici.co.uk) and send them a scan . I should try Chris Beetles first .
I have many books illustated by her and two prints in my childrens bedroom .....always been a great fan .Her pictures are full of delightful detail .

Molly Brett's paintings can be worth as little as 10 dollars, but there are some which may have some value. Without knowing exactly which paintings they are and if they're real I couldn't give you anything more, but I definetely recommend you get them appraised.
