I have a Limited Edition print "Swift Fox - Great Plains Winter"

The picture plainly says that it is by Michael Dumas, on the picture itself and the artist's signature on the bottom right, but when I try to look it up, on Art.com or Allposters.com I find that this picture is credited to Jake Vanderbrink, not Dumas.

I would like to give this framed print to a friend as a Wedding gift, but not if it is a dodgy picture!

Does anyone know this picture or are you familiar with the work of either artist?

I have a painting stuck in my head. It's very famous but for some reason I cannot find the title or artist online.

It depicts a man (from the back) standing on the edge of a cliff facing the ocean. The waves are white and the cliff is rocky. I think the painting was done during the renaissance - I know it is definitely not modern. I also remember studying it in regards to philosophy and romanticism, specifically.

Please help me! The pain of searching to no avail is giving me a headache.

Painting was given to my grandfather by a man in Germany when he was stationed there during World War 2. I cannot find much info about it on the internet. I can however find plenty of info about "The Cardsharps". The paintings are very similar, but in my grandmothers painting, the two young boys are sitting at a table playing cards, and a man is standing in the background with a cape covering his face? There is something written in German on the back of the painting (don't have it in front of me, so I can't elaborate on that right now). Any info would be appreciated.

I acquired an original Eugene Pavy painting several years ago, and would like information as to it's value as I would like to sell it. I have joined Askart and checked a few other sites already, but not many prices are quoted.

I aquired a painting about 20 years ago which is done in opaque watercolor. Its of a Japanese man and woman very detailed about 9x12 on paper. They are in very colorful full dress. The woman is standing infront of the man and he has his arms outsretched as if to protect her. It is signed with the name Forman and what appears to be another letter in front of that. The date is !916.
Does any know of a painter from that era .?

It's titled "Ivy Queen of the sea" down on the left side. On the right side is the signature GRANT (all upper case) with 26. It's of a 3masted ship in a storm.. although it's very dark.. you can see a definite sunlight trying to peek through.. it makes you look into sunlight without really seeing the sun.. it also seems to 'look out' at you.. It's an oil painting... 26 must be the year 1926 but since it was given to my long time grandmother.. when she was young.. the year must be nearly the end of his paintings. It's probably a Grant from England or from the USA.. Thanks for the help.. I appreciate it.. soooooo much.. I need new wheels.. nope not a car but wheels for my wheelchair.. (bet I got you)lol.

On the Famous Person Website: Sydney Goodsir Smith is given as someone in whom we are interested.
We have a painting of the old Scottish Mansion style building of Nunraw, East Lothian.
The date is given as 1956.
We would like any biographical information that he may have done this water colour painting around that date.
Or any confirmation that he may have stayed at this place?

have a lithograph by Claude Grosperrin w/authentication on back from The Collectors' Guild, Ltd., 185 Madison Ave., New York (which is no longer in business, to our knowledge). It does not state the name of this particular lithograph but the authentication is written in French and there is a numbered stamp located above it and a small article about the artist from the Collector's Guild mentioning a time frame of 1959-1960.
