I have an original oil painting of a tiger that I purchased several years ago while living in Germany for $2300. I recently have run into some financial woah and need to go about selling it. I called some local art studios but had no luck in finding aid on where to sell it. I would greatly appreciate any help or advice anyone could dish out! Thanks!

The painting is of an old lady, wearing lots of things and a big coat. She has an umbrella I think and has something like 4 feet coming out underneath her skirt each wearing different types of shoes. I think she has a bird, or at least a bird cage with her. The author is a woman. That same author also painted a dark room, with a table in the middle and a chair beside it. On the table is a vase with one rose and some petals and on the floor in front of the chair is a white glove. It has a fantastical sort of look to it.

i'm in England,....I am `English`.....at present a painting i have done is near completion. To give you a rough idea its 6x4,has a gold line an inch thick that seperates white and black paint, when a hand is run over the canvas a light at the rear comes on and shows thru the blackness...........it denotes that the white man through his ingenuity and genuis brought light to africa after sunset .............. not god . i've called it "let there be white"......what say you good people????????.

Do I still get to charge them for the amount of time they sit while I take a lunch break to McDonald's? Artists need to have their mind on art, not food!

I mean, they are living in my apartment while I take my lunch break...might as well charge them rent for however long they stay and charge extra for taking up space in my dwelling, eh?

I just want to verify that becoming an artist is worth quitting medical school. I think it will be if I can get paid for lunch breaks!

I'm an artist, and many have advised they would like to see my work on fabric -- i.e. for draperies, upholstery, linens. I also have many designs that would lend themselves well for clothing. Do you market it to individual designers - or, to fabric manufacturers? Thanks in advance for your help!

It just occured to me really. Of all the classic painters of history, who was really being the most twisted but without being overtly fantastical (Bosch etc) or just plain weird. Does that make sense?
