I'm trying to find an image of this certain pating on the web but I don't know it's name.

It's a guy wearing red and a girl wearing a translucent white robe (or something like it) on a swing, together. The swing is like in the middle of the forest. Umm, the guy has dark brown hair and the girl has dirty blonde. That's all I can remember.

Thanks a lot to who ever can help!

I've been studying art history & I've noticed in many paintings, etc. the Virgin & Jesus look pretty Italian! Is this because the artists were Italian, or the patrons were?

I've always wondered, so let me know! thx.

I can't decide if I should start with watercolors, acrylics, oils, pastels, color pencils...Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. I want something with which I can achieve decent results without years of practice.

it is on a commercial with a woman waking up in bed. the walls in the background are tan and the painting is large, directly above the bed. it is a top view of the nest and (possibley) has 3 blue eggs inside.

It is a painting of some large rocks that look as though they are floating in a stream.

Yeah, I know ahead of time there is going to a lot of anti-Hitler comments but those watercolors were painted under wartime field conditions. The guy had just come out of combat and was worn out and had been breathing poison gas for weeks.

Give me a break, OK? Some of them were dad-gum good. I really like that one of the trees all folded over a rural house. That gave a good insight, I think, into what he was longing for in that moment.

So, set all the hate-crapola aside. SOME of the watercolors were far above amature status, in my opinion. What's your take on them.
