They do make paper that you can paint on with acrylics. It is a very heavy weight, not quite as hefty as watercolor paper, but thicker than your standard drawing stuff. they also make canvas in "sheeting" that is similar to paper. Some feel like actual canvas, only thinner, and some are smoother, like paper. go to the art store, they'll show you! happy dabbling!

Yes you can! Watercolor paper is stronger than Acrylic paper because it needs to be able to hold up while really wet. Acrylics are water-based and act very much like watercolors. The only thing you need to watch out for is when using Watercolor paints on less strong paper, such as Acrylic paper or plain printer paper.

I can see there are a lot of non-artists, or amateurs, who do not realize their ignorance, or they don't care. In either case they should not be dispensing information.

Yes, you can paint on paper with acrylics, either thinned down with water like watercolors, or as thick as you like. Paintings on paper are easy to store when dry, lie as flat as you like, and can be matted and framed as any watercolor as long as the glass does not touch the painted surface.

Any good quality, heavier watercolor paper will do...cold or hot pressed. The paper can have great tooth, like rough canvas, or be very smooth like gessoboard, so you'll have lots of choices. Ask at the art store. Let them know how you plan to paint. They can make the best recommendation.

For acrylic paints your best results will come from using canvas only. Paper will not hold the paint and you`ll get runs.

you are supposed to use acrylic on canvas. any paper will roll up due to the thickness of acrylics.

Use Bristol board or vellum. They both work well with acrylics.
