Using sweet-sounding and inoffensive euphemisms to describe deeply introverted and possibly pathological behaviour has been the norm for yonks.

Time for it to stop? You tell me.

I use the Bob Ross wet on wet method with acrylics. I'd like to know if there are any sites that teach how to use color to indicate depth of field. My paintings look flat. Thanx

I have a framed picture, looks to be charcoal, or pencil, of 2 ancient looking greyhounds standing by a tree eating something (?)...the frame also looks ancient. It is approximately 13"x 9" and using a magnifying glass, I can see a round imprint: "1892, The World's Columbian Exposition, Chicago, Illinois, 1893, Organized August 14, 1889"...is it worth anything?

I bought a framed painting for my fiance for one of his Christmas presents. It is the type of painting in which it's not smooth. The paint is raised and has texture. Not sure what it's called. It is rather large in size also. It is on canvas with a frame around it.

Anywys, I want to properly wrap it so it is protected and so he doesn't see it. =)

How do I protect the paint from chipping off? What material do I use?

Can anyone help me?

Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci was born in Italy in 1452. He was an polymath: architect, anatomist, sculptor, engineer, inventor, mathematician, musician, and painter. He has been described as the archetype of the "Renaissance man". He is widely considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time.
Leonardo is famous for his realistic paintings, such as the “Mona Lisa” and “The Last Supper”, as well as for drawings such as the “Vitruvian Man”.
The earliest known dated work of Leonardo's is a drawing of the “View on river on Arno from Montalbano Valdarno”, drawn on 5 August 1473. From 1513 to 1516, he lived in Rome, where painters like Raphael and Michelangelo were active at the time. In 1516, begin working towards king france “Francisk I”.He given to use of the manor house Clos Lucé, next to the king's residence at the royal Chateau Amboise, where he spent the last three years of his life.
Leonardo died at Clos Lucé in France in 1519.

I heard something like "sartifigo"! First the whole painting is made with watercolor, probably on some thicker paper, and then by scratching some parts of the surface you get white parts on the painting. For example - landscape painting, and a town on a hill is scratched to white.
