I have a framed picture, looks to be charcoal, or pencil, of 2 ancient looking greyhounds standing by a tree eating something (?)...the frame also looks ancient. It is approximately 13"x 9" and using a magnifying glass, I can see a round imprint: "1892, The World's Columbian Exposition, Chicago, Illinois, 1893, Organized August 14, 1889"...is it worth anything?

Wow!! Your lucky.... that painting is probably worth alot of money!! That painting had only like 15 originals!!! You shouldnt let anyone touch it. You should take it to a gallery and see exactly how much its worth. If I am thinking of the right painting...... my ball park guess would be anywhere from $150,000 to $550,000. You have history sitting in your living room. WOW...... good luck and GOD bless!!

Is what the dogs eating a slight brown color? I was told thats symbolism for pay offs.

That sounds like it could be worth something, certainly! Find a licensed appraiser in your area, or take a road trip to the nearest one. Don't take anyone else's word for anything...you want someone who knows what they are talking about.

It sounds like it is. You can fine an art appraiser and see what they think or contact a gallery or museum.
