Shipping chain stores like the UPS stores are great for that - they will pack it with hard foam inserts that protect art work very well.

My best suggestion to you is to go to any U-Haul place that sells boxes and buy dish packs. Cut them up and fit them to your paintings. Wrap everything in bubble wrap before you place between the cardboard layers. Tape well and everything should ship just fine. Otherwise, you can always go to a moving company and see if they have any used painting boxes for sale. Good luck.

Try your local supermarket, they go through loads of cardboard and I'm sure they'll give you some for free.

Other than that I can only suggest office supply stores

you can try art supplies, or even make up your own by using cardboard from the movers they should have it.
