Ok well it's only a couple of questions of which I think some people on here could answer for me. It would be really helpful if you did. I have already researched a lot on this but I just couldnt seem to find this information. If someone could help me that would be great. Thanks!
* When and where did folk art originate from
* What group of people started Celtic folk art and is it still being practiced today?
* Celtic folk arts primary type of artwork
* What materials are used in Celtic folk art
* What is the process of making Celtic folk art
* What happened that triggered this type of art?

* If you just so happen to know anyone who does Celtic folk art, like the name of the artist, please list them.

I know that I'm asking a lot but even if you can find something on one of the topics that would be helpful also! :-)

Ok well it's only a couple of questions of which I think some people on here could answer for me. It would be really helpful if you did. Ok so the questions are;

*What was his primary type of artwork
* What materials did he use to make his art
* Style and period of his art
* Anything interesting you might know about him

Also, dont recommend wikepedia to me because I've already looked and re-looked multiple numbers of times for this information, its not there. Thank you!

I've gone through three or four photoshop elements 4.0 books, and don't find any of them really that helpful when it comes to explaining anything beyond the basics. (maybe because it's just hard to put together a manual for it). Does anyone have a favorite book or one they think is clear and concise? I've heard "Photoshop Elements 5.0: The Missing Manual" by Bunbridge is excellent, but I don't want to get the new software version just to get the book. I know you can't learn everything from a book, but I'd like to at least have one that was clearly written and illustrated.

I'm a photographer and I'd like to sell my art. I have two questions: 1. are there laws/regulations for setting up a box/display with prints, in the street in Montreal? Do i have to have a permit of some sort?
2. where are the best places to set up that kind of thing? (which streets, corners, neighborhoods)

I got an easel for Christmas, it came with oil paints, which i have never used. I just started to use them today (just to experiment) I didn't put any gesso on the canvas first. is that okay? i have the turpeniod and thats it. is there anything else i need to have to make this a successful painting? it isn't drying very fast. when will it be dry? should i coat the painting with something when i am done?

I know that pointillism is a style of art, but how would you use it in a sentence?

Would you say "He looked at the pointillism" or would you say "He looked at the pointillism art"? Or something else?

I am used to taking pictures of cameras that are SLR types, the lens rest on the left palm in a holding position and the right finger (pointer finger) rest on the shutter. One time i was on a friends wedding my friends laughed on the way i took their pictures using their slim type digital cameras, because i tucked my both arms to avoid disrupted images during pressing the shutter. Am i really making fool out of myself?

I am looking for a print by Fritz von Uhde called 'Walking to Emmaus'. The googled and yahooed and searched, but I cannot find a place to order that particular print.

As suggestions for resources?

I would prefer someplace I can mail order from, but someplace in either the Sacramento or Las Vegas area local would be fine as well.

As I stated before, I have used all the search engines using a variety of words. So *please* don't send me a search link (unless of course it has that print!)

Thanks!
Fermat

I was wondering if Prismacolor markers are good to use for manga.
-Are there any better quality markers to buy?
-Also, if you are a manga artist/artist what would be your favorite markers to recieve as a gift?
I'm buying these for a friend as a present, so I am a bit clueless about what to buy. I'm willing to get something pricey for good quality. Thanks :)

A friend will be in London this week, staying right around Paddington station, not far from Picadilly Circus.

I need some good, quality Halloween decorations, especially hanging paper skeletons. I have large walls, and need something to create visual impact.

Where can my friend go shopping? Can you tell me exact addresses, or if they have a phone number or website?
