Visual Arts - October 2007

I wanna shoot this street near were I live thats lit up at the moment with fairy ligts and sodium lamps. It looks amazing. Ive tried taking shots at night of places that were beautiful lit up but the pictures came out in such a way as to appear like everything had doubled or like the lights were all blury. I think the effect is called camera shake, Im not sure though.
My question is how do I shoot at night were the lights arent blurry and theres no ghost like double images? What speed film shoot I use and do I need a camera stand and one of those push button release jobbies? Or can you take shots at night hand held? My camera is a manual one, but its pretty decent. ok so im in college and i have a color theory class.. and well i got to do this painting with alot of values but i cant seem to get them 2 blend right? any suggestions?

I know it's blue but is it a GIRL blue or is it a gender neutral blue? I'm thinking about getting this series of phone but can't pick between the black and blue (I'm male).

I like the blue but not if it's a girl color.

I'm 15 and want to go ahead and get my name into the digital art field. I'm looking for small work like that for now (since I don't have a great amount of time being in highschool), but I don't know exactly where to go or even if I can get hired at my age by a company...so can anybody point me in the right direction?

Since oil plus an oil is just ok, can i mix these 2?.

fragrance oil, i believe, will be diluted in the linseed oil. is it just fine?.. i am making an oil paint, and i want it to be so unique, that's why i am putting a scent..

the question is.. can i add the 2 together.. or i'll just add the fragrance oil..during the oil-paint process..(meaning i did not the 2 oils together...i put them in the oil paint mixture separately)

im damn confused!

I've been working on a comic for a little while now. It was recently suggested to me by my art teacher that I should look for a publisher; however, in addition to my age, or lack of it, at 15, and lack of any experience or knowledge of how to go about doing such, I haven't thought about it much. Now I'm wondering, how could I go about finding a publisher? I live in rural Missouri, so I imagine this is no simple feat. Is it impossible for someone like myself, being so young, and lacking any advanced art education or experience, to achieve this goal?

I was left with a picture from my grandmother when she died. I dont know much about it besides the name (either P Ross or R Ross.) Its a pic of a vase i think, its rough in texture and in the painting itself is old newspaper clippings embedded in the paint. I have pics if someone can help it would be appreciated.

I use Cybershot DSC-T10 and everytime I use very high ISO (1000), the noise produced in the pic was just unbearable. How do I reduce this? or what kind of editing should I do to reduce noise?

ok on the internet i found a biography of louis braille. it also showed a picture of his tomb. i looked closely and saw an orb!!! it is really an orb?? i have a picture of it: go to google:
