I have some nasty brown marks on my shirts and pants. Do you think that bleach for colors is effective on photography developer stains?

Believe it or not, there is a product made for fixer stains, but not developer stains. It's called "Fix-Off" and we use it in my dental office. It works well. If you can't find it, smile at your dentist and ask if he/she can order you some. It's cheaper than buying new clothes.

As the developer is bleach based ("Hypo" = Sodium Hypochlorite = bleach) you are going to be unsuccessful. Best option is to wear an apron of some kind to protect from splashes. (Ignore the previous answer, he's being a tw@ as usual.)

I've tried just about everything to get photo chemicals out of my clothes and nothing seems to work. I just labeled the ruined clothes Darkroom clothes and don't wear them anywhere else.

Sorry but your SOL.

This is why most folks working in labs wear smocks. You learned a lesson the hard way.
