I've been given oil and turpentine in order to dilute some oil paints. I've been told to mix the (linseed -- I think) oil with turpentine to the paints.

Why don't I just use only turpentine to dilute them?

Please help.

I love that site JibJab.com but I wondered if there were other free sites that have similar things or even just photographs where you transpose your own head on the photos. Thanks.

I doodle a lot. i spend at least 3 hours a day doodleing. im determined to be a great drawer when i get older. Right now im really interested in anime and i just cant nail their features and stuff. I'll copy and trace pictures of characters like goku, naruto, even sly cooper, and make up my own characters, which seem to always come out nowhere close to how i imagined them. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for how i could get better at drawing like this?

Hey guys i was going to use silkscreeningsupplies.com to pre photo emulsion 3 screens for me and then am going to print the shirts myself. Now my question is, is what types of inks should i be using, i hear that water based paint as opposed to plastisol paint is better because plastisol is very thick, but does water based paint fade? and the print would be on american apparel jersey t's.

I recently purchased an oil painting from Africa. I also purchased a frame from a major art/frame store. Should I display it without the glass or does it matter?

I've been shooting on the highest jpg setting with my Nikon D200, but I'm wondering if I should be shooting raw.

Also, Whats the deal with raw? How is it different than a very high res jpg?

I have a like really cool and like really great picture of my friend holding a red frisbee and I was kinda hoping that someone could recommend a really cool photoshop kind of program only I'd like it to be for free and maybe not like one you have to download but can still use for free to make it so that the frisbee was still like red but by friend was like still there but like also though then sometimes still too you know also with no colors but black and white but the frisbee has got to still be red, if you know what I mean.

When I started like typing this question it said that they had like found similar questions and it showed me like five other questions and said that there were like 42 more similar questions and a lot of them seemed to be like what I am asking about but I am not really sure so I thought I would ask anyhow.

Can you tell me why I mean how to do this? Soon, please. I wanted to be the sixth question on this page asking the same freaking question in a row.

We hired a professional photographer for our wedding and included in our high price was books of our proofs for ordering. My family and friends are ordering from it also...my question is since they are paying $5 per 4x6 photo can I make copies somewhere of the ones they purchase for ourselves (rather than us paying another $5 for the same picture)? Where will do this or where can I do this? Is it legal since we purchased it?

If you feel this is wrong or illegal please explain, not yell or get smart, exactly what about it is wrong? Please use details. I am curious in knowing more.

Thank you!

I am doing a project on chuck close. Does anyone know specifically what people chuck close chose to paint? I read somewhere that he loved to paint his family members but i cant find it now. Did he have any criteria in who he chose to paint? I couldn't find something on google but i remember reading something about it.

Thanks very much for any information. I
