I have a collection of old ceramic / pottery piggy banks I got from someone who has been collecting them for years and I can't find a good web site that will help me date them and determine their value. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'll be graduating this fall with a Bachelors in Visual Arts (graphic design). Will going for a Masters in this be that beneficial or with the right portfolio I should get a good job no problem.

FROM MY NOTES:
Center-Weighed would be good for portraits because it pays more attention to the center of the frame. (ok)
Spot Metering seems the best because it says: use when adjusting exposure without the cameras help. (I have my camera on manual so I control the apeture and shutter speed)...
Multi-Segment: divides the scene into several segments to deliver the correct exposure (camera will do all the work)...
Im still having trouble trying to figure out which setting to use for what kind of pictures...I think I have center-weighed pretty good because I do take a lot of portrait pics (outside) so this setting makes sense for these pictures...
As for the other two, Im still a little shady on when I should change settings from Center-Weighed in order to get a better picture for something else I make take pics of instead of portraits outside. *sigh* I hope you can follow me ! lol

There is an artist that I'm thinking of who was traumatized as a child when they found their dead mother's face covered with a veil. I can't think of who it is, but a famous painting was done by them portraying a man and a woman kissing, but their heads are covered with veils.

If anyone could please tell me who this artist is, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Do real artists count on inspiration? Because, I've been known to make beautiful paintings and works of art when I'm truly in the mood and have an idea and am inspired. But, without it, my drawings suck. Do I really have any talent? Should artists be able to make masterpieces WITHOUT inspiration?

I have experience in illustration, film, animation and sculpting (polymer clay). After getting my qualification to teach at TAFE or any other registered training organisation, I'm still finding it difficult to find an opening to teach a visual arts course (with a focus on illustration and sculpture).

For the time being, there is a lack of interest in attending such a course. My question; do you believe that selling the course in DVD format would be more popular, meaning that people could 'attend' the course in their own time, without the obligation of turning up at a set venue? With my experience in film, the DVDs would be informative and of good quality.

If you do believe that would be more popular, what would be a good way to sell these DVDs? Would you prefer to pick them up at an art & craft store, buy through Ebay, or buy through my personal website?

Thank you very much everyone!

I want to get portraits done this Saturday for my son's 2nd birthday, but he cannot hold his head up, sit up, or smile. I'll be lucky enough just to keep him awake for the photos.

I just wondered if any of you could put your thinking caps on and give me good ideas of props/backgrounds/poses I can use. I will need to sit him up on something probably. He cannot lift his head up when he is on his tummy, so probably can't do that pose unless we happen to get really lucky.

I really want something cute and memorable. I just have no clue what to do.

I am in the middle of working on an animation and would like to use 2 short samples of audio from a well known film in my film. The samples are just two lines from the script that I want to use. How and where can I find who owns the copyright to the audio of the film?
