I am in the middle of working on an animation and would like to use 2 short samples of audio from a well known film in my film. The samples are just two lines from the script that I want to use. How and where can I find who owns the copyright to the audio of the film?

I would think that the credits at the end of the film would list who holds the copyright. Your animation might be exempt due to the fair use doctrine:

There is usually a copyright notice somewhere in the credits. Alternatively, contact the studio that produced the film.
