I just signed up for a watercolor workshop and the list of required supplies includes;
Wet media acetate, Frisket film, and Stencil paper.. anybody know what these are and how they are used??

That is a workshop I would like to follow. Sound very interesting.

To be honest I would expect these materials in a silkscreen workshop and not a watercolor workshop. They are all used to make (artistic) prints.

Wet media acetate works great for trying out a color on a painting without touching the work. (see through test window)

Frisket film Is a masking tool mostly used in airbrush. Aperantly it also works on watercolor.

Stencil paper is a cheap and sturdy kind of paper that can take some abuse.

Stencil paper could be oak tag, the stuff manilla folders are made of. Although I've seen artist who do airbrushing use pieces of what they call "borco" which is a sort of latex sheet. they cut their custom curves and shapes with an xacto blade. Experiment...see what works for you. Sometimes it's fun to teach the teacher a new trick or two!
