They say Jimi Hendrix used to soak his bandana with acid and tied it to a cut on his forehead, while he played.....he ended up being concidered one of the greatest guitar plays and artists of the past century....

Jackson Pollick (visual artist) smoked cigarettes, in my opion it added character. Cigarette are known to be a relaxant,...jacksons' art was far from emotionally relaxed....

What about that myth that everyone has heard?....Does smoking the wacky green tobacy enhance your creativity?

I'm torn between two occupations that I want to do. I'm a sophomore in High School, and I enjoy drafting/architecture, and I defiantly enjoy drawing. So I would love to make childrens cartoon, along the lines of things like Pokemon, and things that a younger audience would adapt to. Dorky, yes. But I just feel like I would love to do something like that.

I'm pretty sure if I did become an architect, that I would make better money. But I dont know about the financial status of being a professional cartoonist. If anyone knows which one you think would be a better occupation please reply with some adivce for me.

Calling all fabulous, creative people???
Any good ideas for creative entries in a project I have to do for my social studies class? Okay, thats not specific enough. For this project we have to submit weekly 'journals" about the various books we read. For example, I recently made paper dolls of the characters in my book. I have done posters such as movie posters, wanted posters, and missing posters for characters in the books. I'v also done drawings and murals. Stuff like that...Any more ideas? Thanks in advance!
Oh, by the way I'm reading "Puerto Vallarta Squeeze" by Robert James Waller, right now.

Martin lives in Bellingham WA . He is a talented artist but has trouble approaching galleries and asking them to look at his work. He needs someone to represent him. I am willing to pay you $50 for any leads that lead to a contract between Martin and
an agent that gets him a show or individual sale.

I live in the Bahamas, and I can draw beautiful Bahamian culture drawings like flaminoes, blue marlins, landscapes, etc. I was thinking of going to the straw market, or some place similar, to show them what I can draw, try to sell them a drawing so they can sell it over at a higher price (they need their profit too, just like I need mine). Is this a good idea or a stupid one? If it's good, can you tell me why, and tell me how it'll be helpful? If you think it's a silly idea, then do you have any better ones?

Let's say that you are a person that can really draw. You can draw perfect portraits of people that look close to the perfect picture... and you draw peeps like Lil Wayne, 2pac, Jay-Z, and even drawings of other people, and they love it........ what are ways that you would advertise yourself to REALLY get your name out in the public and make some serious money?

Right now I have a BA in art (emphasis in graphic design). Do I have to have a BA in painting before I get my MFA? What college or university in California do you recommend has the most excellent program? Which have reasonable costs? (I can't afford tens of thousands a semester!) Help!

This is a work in progress I thought you might have fun analyzing. I have no idea what I'm trying to say here, but maybe you do.

It is a multi-panel painting that will be called 'Unreal City' when, and if, it's finished. The unfinished panels will include several surreal city scenes and backdrops.

The first photo here shows detail from the already finished panels:

The second photo shows the full canvas:

(You can click on the images to enlarge, but not enrage, them.)

Have fun. And be honest.
