I am writing a potential article on the photographic industry (Minilabs, Camera shops, Retailers, Printers, Repair Shops, Photographers) in a news/gossip style column, and would be interested to hear from anyone working in this field. What trends/fashions/hardships do notice affecting your current or future business, do they worry you? How do you feel about the business right now?

Is there some website that I can get paid from just by drawing? I am not talking about commissions or selling existing art. Just something like analogous to creating content for associatedcontent(dotcom). Is there something like an associatedart . com ? lol. Thanks.

What are the most popular (mainstream) paintings that are displayed in the Art Institute of Chicago museum?

I really want to go, but I need to talk my boyfriend into going, so I'm going to see if I can find some paintings that he might recognize.

I have a piggy bank that I can't find any information about on the internet. I'm hoping someone can help me! On the bottom of the bank it says Norcrest China Co A51. I have tried to look that up but there seems to be nothing! Just piggy banks that look similar to the one I have! Heres a link to some pictures of the bank.. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y238/KiMike22/Piggy1.jpg and http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y238/KiMike22/Ppiggy2.jpg
THANKS!

the plate I have is approx.13" across and is intended for a wall hanging. The scene is a winter in Holland. There is a windmill in the background. It is signed, T. Sonnamlle, that is what it appears to be. There is a snow covered home on the right and a boat on the left. On the back it says,BOCH , and also Delfts and the word Belgian is written in script.

I used to be a pro photographer, but that was back in the film days. But anyway...my friend's daughter is 15 and a very talented artist/photographer. Problem is, she uses a cheap digital camera suitable for snap-shots and not the "artistic" stuff she wants to do. (By "artistic," I mean she wants to have the ability to better manipulate focus, apeture, etc. So, what's a good, relatively inexpensive (roughly $400-500 rage) SLR digital camera for a 15-year-old with a lot of talent?? Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Art is supposed to educate and show pathos, no? All of Pollock's work that I've seen does neither, and just looks like the tarpaulin beneath a set-painting session.

I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me -- seriously, not "Well it all depends on what you like...", because I could do the same thing and people would be like "You're an idiot." -- why Jackson Pollack and his ilk are considered art.

Thanks.
