What makes up a good slideshow?

Also, should I use point form text or short sentences? This slideshow is giving information and is going to be graded!

Like any story - a theme, linking the slides in a meaningful sequence; an entertaining and interesting commentary which tells the story and ; gives information not available directly from the visuals but gives the visuals more meaning; and finally a conclusion which brings the whole show to a point or resolution. Don't make it too long, and time the slides to the period each can hold interest (5 to 7 seconds isn't a bad base!). Put the interest of the audience first, not your own! A slideshow is in the entertainment business, not the ego stakes. Good luck
